WWE 2K15: Updated Roster, Disappointing Gamescom Gameplay Footage

August 18, 2014 by Ryan Parreno

While this footage is of an earlier build, given that it is running on the PlayStation 4, it really fails expectations.

We have an updated roster and new information for WWE 2K15.

To start, you can read the roster of revealed superstars below.

  • AJ Lee
  • Alberto Del Rio
  • Bad News Barrett
  • Batista
  • Big E Langston
  • Big Show
  • Booker T
  • Bray Wyatt
  • Brie Bella
  • Brock Lesnar
  • Cameron
  • Cesaro
  • Chris Jericho
  • CM Punk
  • Cody Rhodes
  • Curtis Axel
  • Damien Sandow
  • Daniel Bryan
  • Darren Young
  • Dean Ambrose
  • Dolph Ziggler
  • Erick Rowan
  • Fandango
  • Goldust
  • Hulk Hogan
  • Hollywood Hulk Hogan
  • Jack Swagger
  • Jay Uso
  • Jimmy Uso
  • John Cena
  • Justin Gabriel
  • Kane
  • Kevin Nash
  • Kofi Kingston
  • Luke Harper
  • Mark Henry
  • Naomi
  • Natalya
  • Nikki Bella
  • Randy Orton
  • Rey Mysterio
  • Ric Flair
  • Rob Van Dam
  • Roman Reigns
  • R-Truth

  • Santino
  • Seth Rollins
  • Shawn Michaels
  • Sheamus
  • Sting
  • Sting (80s version)
  • Stone Cold Steve Austin
  • Summer Rae
  • Tamina
  • The Miz
  • The Rock
  • Titus O’Neil
  • Triple H
  • Tyson Kidd
  • The Undertaker
  • Xavier Woods

This list includes 54 male wrestlers and 8 female wrestlers. Interestingly, the Legends allegedly leaked in an earlier list, that included pre Rock’N Wrestling wrestlers like Stan ‘The Man’ Stasiak, are not on this list. That does not mean those wrestlers are not coming, but it does seem the earlier list has been proven false.

There is also new footage of gameplay coming out of Gamescom, and to be honest, I am not impressed by this. Visual Concepts did a lot of work on the facial and body capture, but I think they should have taken some performance capture as well, because the animation in this PlayStation 4 build is stiff and looks unnatural.

In fact, you can tell that this is an earlier build because there’s a floating part of a chair in midair, at the 2:10 mark, near one of the ringposts when the wrestlers go back in. I will say the footage does demonstrate some brawling outside of the ring, so at least that looks promising. I can only hope it plays better than it looks right now.

WWE 2K15 is coming October 28 to the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. You can watch the footage I am referring to below and judge for yourself.
